FDCP ANNOUNCES SELECTED PROJECTS FOR FILM PHILIPPINES INCENTIVES CYCLE 2
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is proud to announce the selected projects for Cycle 2 of the Film Philippines Incentives (FPI). The FPI offers two key funding programs, the International Co-Production Fund (ICOF) and the Film Location Incentive Program (FLIP), alongside a non-monetary support through the Film Location Engagement Desk (FLEX), which assists with government permits, locations, and logistics.
FLIP provides a 20% cash rebate of up to ₱25 million ($450,000) for international projects that partner with Filipino production companies for line production, animation, or post-production services in the Philippines. Accepted projects with significant Filipino cultural element may get an uplift of 5% bonus, raising the total incentive to ₱30 million ($540,000).
ICOF, on the other hand, offers up to ₱10 million ($180,000) fund to international projects co-produced with the Philippines. Accepted projects may receive bonuses of up to ₱2 million ($35,000) for cultural merit and a guaranteed ₱1 million ($18,000) for ASEAN co-productions.
This cycle saw a rise in applications, reflecting a growing international interest in the Philippines as a filmmaking location. The selection includes dynamic collaborations between Filipino producers and their international counterparts across various genres and formats—including short films under ICOF.
